Shops and restaurants located on Main Street stay open a little later to allow for visitors to eat, browse, and stroll. Click below for this year's schedule.

Boo On Bell

Voted Best Local Event for 2020!

Boo On Bell will happen on October 30, 2021. The carnival will start October 28, 2021.

Christmas Tree Lighting

The Christmas Tree Lighting is held in conjunction with the November Downtown Block Party, which is November 20, 2020. In addition to the Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony, there are vendors, live music and entertainment, and food trucks.

Christmas Parade

With the continuing concern of COVID the SEFF Board of Directors has determined the 2020 Christmas Parade will be modified. The Downtown area will be changed into a World of Lights for the holiday season. On December 3rd starting at 7pm, Main Street will be turned into a one way street to drive and gaze at the lights as well as have the opportunity to judge the art murals that will be on display. The entrance will be located at Kickapoo and Main only.

The drive concludes at the Santa Fe Depot where you will be greeted by Santa’s Elves and given the opportunity to drop off your letter to Santa. We sent a request to the North Pole and have received word that Santa will be making a stop in Shawnee for this special night. We will also be hosting a Diaper Drive that evening to help support Legacy Parenting, so please consider donating to this great organization.

While this is not the parade we had planned on, this is a great alternative. As always be safe and stay healthy as we move into 2021.
